A tortilla makes for a handy mouse pad, acceptable patches for jeans and easy draw-on smiles for customer service helpdesks. Put a smile on your face with today’s Groupon: for RM26, you get a fajita set for two people at Frontera Sol of Mexico at Jaya One, Petaling Jaya (up to RM53.20 value). Meal includes:

Combining the astute powers of Tex-Mex food, spicy jalapenos and colour-coated sombreros, Frontera Sol of Mexico invites curious culinary adventurists into a safe haven Mexican mania and tequila gunfire. Cavorting comrades sidle onto tables for a serving of fajita available in chicken, beef, mushroom and cheese or chicken and beef meat combos. Fajitas are grilled and served on a sizzling plate alongside a vegetable marquee of sautéed yellow onions, peppers and oddball intros of cheese sour cream and pico de gallo salad, leaving hands too full to shake on under-table maracas. Covert side dishes also migrate their way onto tables, hoping to lure unsuspecting eaters with promises of nourishment away from stable employment.

Customers can top up an additional RM10 to chow down a Sizzling Prawn Fajita instead. Frontera Sol of Mexico features indoor and outdoor dining with ample ashtrays for stick dunking, while in-house entertainment features live music on Fridays and Saturdays as well as live football broadcasting.

Frontera Sol of Mexico does not serve pork but offers alcohol on its menu.

Frontera Sol of Mexico was featured in KLue.

They serve the main meals with a portion of Mexican rice (slightly tinged orange with peas mixed in it), a spicy tomato salsa and refried beans. Those refried beans (a classic Mexican dish) was excellent. What we like about this place is everything tastes homemade. - Jul 15, 2008 boo_licious
Last but not least, a serving of Sizzling Fajita Platter with Chicken. Arrived sizzling hot and smoky, the aroma was unmistakable and appetizing. I always thought the addition of capsicums on sizzling dishes gave it a very nice and pleasant smell. - Jan 7, 2011 iamthewitch
